The Centric Approach
☻
Rapport Building
We establish a connection with parents and caregivers before starting any training. We express empathy and understanding towards parents and caregivers, highlighting our dedication to improving the lives of the service recipient and those around them. We take into account the unique experiences and cultural backgrounds of each family when providing services. Compassion remains fundamental to our approach, and we base our therapeutic relationships on trust.
❋
Priorities
We concentrate on the unique requirements of the child and family, along with their values and interests. We treat different family routines with consideration and adaptability. We trust that parents and caregivers have valuable insights regarding what can effectively motivate their child, what suits their family’s needs best, and what they consider significant and meaningful for their family.
✦
Learning Styles
We recognize that every child and family utilizing our services will face unique needs and challenges that influence how treatment is delivered. We make certain that the preferences and learning styles of the child, parents, and caregivers are incorporated into the proposed recommendations and goals of the treatment plan. For instance, utilizing videos, written guidelines, and even images can provide various approaches to teach the same skill.
✿
Reinforcement
We focus on teaching with a strong emphasis on positive reinforcement, guiding parents and caregivers on how to apply these techniques effectively. Additionally, we encourage parents and caregivers to frequently use reinforcement and actively nurture a relationship with their child. Positive reinforcement is a key strategy that highlights children's strengths and abilities. This method not only supports the development of significant skills but also enhances a child's confidence, motivation, and willingness to participate in the learning journey.
